I also have a problem, but it's slightly different. My problem is that
I don't really know if I will be able to attend a dinner until about
four or so days ahead of time, due to work. By then it's often booked
out. So either I must always reserve myself a place and then remove
myself when I can't make it a couple of days before or just forget
about it and hope I can still get a place. I don't want to
inconvenience others but this is my situation, being based about 400KM
from Cape Town.
