+1 for sitting on cushions, but how would it fare for a projector etc.

How many barefoot, filthy hippies can sit on their floor? I think finding a
place that can seat 60+ is fair enough, the last GD was nice sized, although
maybe it puts people off too much if supply is too constrained.
