I phoned Miles yesterday evening.

* We have a booking for Wed 28 Nov, the whole top floor.
  They really want us to have a minimum of 60 people,
  they made the point a few times.

* I think we can annouce the venue now.

* 3 course meal : R99 per person (R109.00 with service fee)

..sideline idea, I've always wondered how much publicity a venue gets from a
GeekDinner. I'd like to propose an experiment.

(discraimer: I'm no SEO wiz)

Using: http://www.checkpagerank.com/
it shows http://www.ferrymans.co.za/ has a Google Page Rank of 3/10.

After the GeekDinner, after announcements and blogging about the dinner I'd
like to see if we can get it higher. This could be a nice selling angle for
getting future venues to play ball.

Maybe somebody has a better way to measure the exposure the venue gets?
