In the GeekDinner model we don't pay for the venue. I don't think anybody
wants to take any financial risk. It's a volunteer effort... and we don't
have a treasurer.

We bring the party, the venue makes money by providing the food and drink...
and if they do a good job we say nice things about them as 'word of mouth
marketing'.

If you have contacts at the River Club please find out if they would be
interested in hosting a GeekDinner.
